CLEVELAND, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Trevor Crowe dashed home from third on Alberto Callaspo's two-out error in the 11th inning Thursday, giving Cleveland a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Los Angeles escaped a bases-loaded situation in the 10th when Jordan Brown grounded into an inning-ending double play, but a fielding miscue cost the Angels in the 11th.

Crowe reached on a one-out double off Bobby Cassevah (0-1), who was called up for his first major league experience this month. Drew Sutton grounded out to second, moving Crowe to third.

Crowe scored when Callaspo bobbled a grounder off the bat of Shelley Duncan.

Los Angeles trailed 2-0 heading into the seventh but tied the game in that inning on homers by Hideki Matsui and Mike Napoli.

Rafael Perez (5-1), who worked the top of the 11th as the sixth Cleveland pitcher, got the victory.

Los Angeles starter Ervin Santana was trying for a career-best 17th victory.
