Tide's Ingram set to return from injury

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Injured Alabama running back Mark Ingram will be ready for the Crimson Tide's next game, Coach Nick Saban said Monday.

Ingram, who missed Alabama's first two games while recovering from knee surgery, practiced Monday and Saban said he expected the junior running back to be ready for Saturday's game against Duke.

"Mark's situation is going to be a little bit evaluating how much he plays relative to how much he can practice," Saban told reporters. "You're still going day-to-day with a guy coming off of an injury."

Ingram was injured during an Aug. 30 practice session and had an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee the next day.

The Crimson Tide have won their first two games with sophomore Trent Richardson filling in for the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner. Richardson has piled up 210 yards and scored three touchdowns so far.
