NFL: Houston 34, Indianapolis 24

HOUSTON, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Arian Foster racked up 231 yards rushing -- a team record -- and the Houston Texans notched a 34-24 upset win over Indianapolis Sunday.

Foster, a second-year player out of Tennessee, had a big day, scoring three touchdowns and smashing the Texans' single-game record for rushing.

Houston quarterback Matt Schaub went 9-of-17 through the air for 107 yards and a touchdown with one interception for the Texans (1-0), who notched just the second-ever victory against the AFC champion Colts and set a team record with 257 total rushing yards.

The Colts' Peyton Manning had an impressive day but it went for naught. He completed 40-of-57 passes for 433 yards and three touchdowns but it wasn't enough to prevent the Colts (0-1) from losing their third straight regular season game.

Austin Collie led Indianapolis with a career-high 10 receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown.
