Wie starts fast, posts Arkansas lead

ROGERS, Ark., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Michelle Wie scorched the front nine Saturday, easing to a 7-under-par 64 and a three-stroke lead after two rounds of the P&G NW Arkansas Championship.

Wie, seeking her third career and second straight LPGA crown, shot a 28 through the first nine holes and finished two rounds at 10-under 132.

Wie took the top honors in her last event, the Canadian Women's Open. Her only other win came at last year's Lorena Ochoa Invitational.

Her score was three better than Yani Tseng (68), Na Yeon Choi (68) and Hall of Famer Juli Inkster (66), all of whom finished knotted in second place at 7-under 135.

Paige Mackenzie (65), Seon Hwa Lee (65) and Janice Moodie (69) shared fifth place one shot further back at minus-6.
