LEMONT, Ill., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Ryan Moore rode a round of 5-under 66 Saturday to a 1-stroke lead over a trio of competitors after three rounds of the BMW Championship.
Moore finished 54 holes at 8-under 205, one shot better than FedEx Cup points leader Matt Kuchar (70), second-round co-leader Charlie Wi (70) and Dustin Johnson (68).
Paul Casey (69) and Ian Poulter (69) ended the day tied for fifth, one stroke further back at minus-6 at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont, Ill.
Cog Hill represents the last chance for PGA golfers to qualify for the tour championship in two weeks, and it appears world No. 1 and defending champion Tiger Woods will be on the outside looking in.
Woods carded a 3-under 68 Saturday, good only for a 22nd-place tie at even-par 213. He is on course for a 44th-place FedEx Cup finish, which wouldn't be good enough to make the field.
Woods has won two of the three FedEx Cups held to date.
