MLB: Seattle 3, Cleveland 0

SEATTLE, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Felix Hernandez tossed eight shutout innings and Russell Branyan socked a solo homer Sunday, powering Seattle to a 3-0 victory over Cleveland.

Hernandez (11-10) mystified the Indians on four hits, striking out nine and walking only one to notch his third straight win. The Mariners right-hander has yielded just one earned run in 45 innings over his last six starts -- a 0.20 earned run average.
