PHOENIX, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Hunter Pence pounded three-run, first-inning homer Sunday and the Houston Astros rode it to a 3-2 win over Arizona.
Pence ended the game 2-for-4, and Jeff Keppinger chipped in with a hit and a run scored for the Astros, who took the rubber match of a three-game series against the Diamondbacks.

J.A. Happ (6-2) held Arizona to two runs on six hits, walking two and striking out seven in seven innings, and Brandon Lyon pitched a scoreless ninth to rack up his 13th save.
D-backs starter Rodrigo Lopez (5-13) was touched for all three runs on six hits.
