COL FB: Iowa 37, Eastern Illinois 7

IOWA CITY, Iowa, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Adam Robinson ran for 109 yards and three touchdowns in No. 9 Iowa's 37-7 win over Eastern Illinois Saturday.

Robinson carried the ball 24 times and caught three passes for 43 yards in a game that saw the Hawkeyes (1-0) run up an early 21-0 lead in the first quarter.

Iowa's Ricky Stanzi was 18-of-23 for 229 yards passing. All but one of Iowa's touchdowns came on the ground.

Iowa dominated on the ground and in the air despite four turnovers to none for the Panthers.

Brandon Large was 13-of-20 for 92 yards passing for Eastern Illinois (0-1). He hit Von Wise with a 31-yard TD pass to open the second quarter.

Otherwise, none of the Panthers runners gained more than 36 yards in the game.
