ST. LOUIS, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- No. 1 draft choice Sam Bradford threw an early touchdown pass Thursday and the St. Louis Rams never trailed in defeating Baltimore 27-21.
Bradford hit all six of his pass attempts in the pre-season finale for 68 yards. Each of the three St. Louis quarterbacks threw a touchdown pass, with a 26-yarder from rookie Thaddeus Lewis to Brandon McRae giving the Rams a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Lewis was 6-of-8 for 89 yards, helping the Rams to a 3-1 record in the pre-season. They will start the campaign at home against Arizona.
Troy Smith played the entire game for the Ravens, completing 18-of-38 for 237 yards. He was intercepted twice. Baltimore had won its first three pre-season games and its loss Thursday left no teams in the NFL with a perfect record.
Baltimore will open with a Monday night game at the New York Jets.
