Langer's 63 good for 1-shot Boeing lead

SNOQUALMIE, Wash., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Bernhard Langer, seeking his fifth title of the year, carded a 9-under 63 Saturday for a one-stroke lead at the Boeing Classic after two rounds.

The German wrapped up two rounds at 15-under 129, three strokes better than the tourney's previous 36-hole record, which had been held by David Eger, Morris Hatalsky, Craig Stadler and Don Pooley.

Langer has already won back-to-back majors at the Senior British Open and U.S. Senior Open.

Nick Price (67) notched an eagle on the par-five 18th at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, and ended up one back at minus-14.

Tom Pernice Jr. (70) held sole possession of second place four strokes further back at minus-10.

Keith Fergus (67) and Hal Sutton (72) were tied for fourth at 6-under 138.
