MILWAUKEE, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Milwaukee pitcher Yovani Gallardo lost a baseball game Thursday and then it got worse when he and a clubhouse attendant were robbed at gunpoint hours later.

The team said in an article on its Web site Gallardo and team employee Alex Sanchez were confronted in a supermarket parking lot early Friday. The men gave their money and jewelry to the gunman, who hit Sanchez on the head with the butt of a gun.

A representative for the National League club said Gallardo was not hurt.

Gallardo (11-6) struck out 10 but gave up six runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings in the Brewers' 7-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers hours earlier.
