MILWAUKEE, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Rod Barajas, who was picked up on waivers this week, had a three-run homer Tuesday to help the Los Angeles Dodgers beat Milwaukee 5-3.
Barajas was claimed Sunday from the Mets and paid dividends with a 3-for-4 night.
Dave Bush (6-11) took the loss after being rattled for five runs on 10 hits over six innings.
Matt Kemp had a 447-foot home run in the second inning that put Los Angeles ahead 2-0. Milwaukee got a run back in their half of the second on an RBI triple by Casey McGehee.
The Brewers took the lead 3-2 in the fifth on a solo home run by Rickie Weeks but the Dodgers took the lead for good in the sixth on Barajas' blast over the left field wall.
