NEW YORK, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Gaby Sanchez had two RBI in helping Florida build a four-run lead Wednesday and the Marlins held on to defeat the New York Mets 5-4.
Hanley Ramirez had four hits for the Marlins, who climbed a game above .500 after having lost their previous two contests.
Florida scored a single run in five of the first seven innings to take a 5-1 lead. Sanchez had a sacrifice fly in both the first and third innings and Ramirez singled in a run in the seventh.
Alex Sanabia (3-1) grabbed the win by giving up three runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings. It was the 29th save for Nunez.
Pat Misch (0-3) remained winless this season and his career record fell to 3-14 over five years. All three of his victories came in 2009.
Misch gave up four runs on nine hits in six innings.
