NASHVILLE, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Newly signed Samkon Gado rushed for two touchdowns Monday and the Tennessee Titans overpowered Arizona 24-10 in an NFL pre-season game.

Gado was signed last week in the wake of an injury to Stafon Johnson and paid immediate dividends, scoring from 4 yards out twice within 3 minutes in the third quarter.

The Titans waived Johnson, who underwent surgery to repair a dislocated right ankle and is lost for the season.

Chris Johnson ran for an 8-yard touchdown and Vince Young completed 9-of-13 passes for 128 yards for Tennessee.

Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart played for the first three offensive possessions and went 4-of-6 for 28 yards. Back-up Derek Anderson then entered the game and recorded 11 completions on 19 pass attempts.
