MLB: Atlanta 4, Los Angeles Dodgers 3

ATLANTA, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Melky Cabrera delivered a two-run, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth Monday, rallying the Atlanta Braves to a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Braves trailed 3-1 entering their final at-bat but Alex Gonzalez and Brian McCann led off with singles off Hong-Chih Kuo (3-2), and one out later Brooks Conrad walked to load the bases.

Octavio Dotel relieved for the Dodgers and forced in a run by walking pinch-hitter David Ross. Cabrera then hit a sharp grounder past diving shortstop Jamey Carroll, driving in two runs for the victory and improving the NL East-leading Braves' home record to 42-16.

Peter Moylan (4-2) got credit for the victory after tossing a scoreless top of the ninth. Braves starter Tommy Hanson yielded only one run in seven innings.

The Dodgers' Chad Billingsley surrendered a single run on five hits over seven frames.

Los Angeles absorbed three setbacks in a four-game series at Turner Field.
