MLB: Houston 3, Pittsburgh 2

HOUSTON, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Hunter Pence drove in his second run of the game to put Houston in front in the seventh Saturday and the Astros held on to down Pittsburgh 3-2.

The Pirates lost their sixth straight and have dropped 47 of their 60 road games this season.

Pittsburgh took the lead on a two-run homer in the first by Garrett Jones but Pence cut the deficit in half in the fourth with his 16th homer.

Angel Sanchez singled in the tying run in the seventh and then scored on Pence's double to deep left-center.

Bud Norris (5-7) struck out a stadium-record 14 over seven innings to get the win. He gave up both runs on five hits and has fanned 108 this year in 99 innings.

Brandon Lyon worked around a one-out single in the ninth to collect his fourth save.

Paul Maholm (7-11) allowed all three runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings to take the loss.
