CLEVELAND, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Trevor Crowe had two RBI Thursday and Jeanmar Gomez stayed unbeaten in his brief major league career, leading Cleveland to a 4-1 win over Baltimore.

The Indians salvaged the final contest of a three-game series and handed Baltimore only its second loss in 10 outings under Manager Buck Showalter.

Gomez, who began the season with Class AAA Columbus, improved to 3-0 in his four starts with the Indians. He lowered his ERA to 1.55, allowing a run on six hits over six innings.

Chris Perez worked a perfect ninth to pick up his 14th save.

Crowe put Cleveland in front for good with an RBI infield single in the first and added a run-scoring double in the fifth to give the Indians a 3-0 lead.

Cleveland halted a four-game losing streak thanks in part to a career-high four hits by Michael Brantley.

Baltimore starter Kevin Millwood (2-12) lost his seventh straight start, giving up three runs on nine hits in seven innings.
