WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Dan Uggla socked a two-run homer in the first inning against Stephen Strasburg and the Florida Marlins went on to an 8-2 victory over Washington.

Uggla gave a rude greeting to the Nationals' rookie phenom -- who was making his first start since July 21 after returning from the disabled list -- homering in the initial frame for a quick 2-0 Florida lead.

Strasburg (5-3) suffered his first loss since June 28. He gave up six runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings.
