CLEVELAND, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Luke Scott homered and drove in four runs to spark a 13-hit Baltimore attack and lift the Orioles to a 14-8 victory over Cleveland.
Scott stroked an RBI double in the fourth to produce a 1-1 tie and belted a three-run homer to highlight a six-run eighth, leading the O's to a win in the first of three games at Progressive Field.
Felix Pie and Matt Wieters each homered and drove in three runs and Corey Patterson added a solo shot as Baltimore won for the seventh time in eight games.
Jake Arrieta (4-3) pitched well enough to win, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits in six innings.
Cleveland starter Justin Masterson (4-11) was tagged with the loss, yielding seven runs (four earned) in five innings.
Michael Brantley homered, had two hits and drove in three runs for the Indians.
