Reports: Suh signs $68M deal with Lions

DETROIT, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- The Detroit Lions have reached a contract deal with defensive tackle and second-overall draft pick Ndamukong Suh, the Detroit Free Press reported Tuesday.

Citing an unnamed sources, the newspaper said the agreement is for five years, while NFL.com reported it is worth $68 million, with $40 million in guaranteed money.

The Free Press said Suh was expected to end a four-day holdout and join the Lions' training camp Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Suh racked up 85 tackles, 12 sacks and 24 tackles for loss last season in 14 games for Nebraska where he won the Outland Trophy, Lombardi Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award.

He was also being named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and finished fourth in the 2009 Heisman Trophy voting.
