MLB: Baltimore 6, Los Angeles Angels 3

BALTIMORE, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Luke Scott blasted a go-ahead homer and Matt Wieters went 3-for-3 with two RBI Tuesday in the Baltimore Orioles' 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

With the O's trailing 2-1 entering the sixth, Scott connected for a two-run shot off reliever Francisco Rodriguez (0-2) to give Baltimore the lead and Josh Bell added a two-run double later in the frame to make it 5-2.

Matt Wieters went 3-for-3 with two RBI and Felix Pie added a pair of hits and scored twice for Baltimore, which took the first of a three-game set at Camden Yards in Buck Showalter's debut as Baltimore manager.

Jeremy Guthrie (5-11) allowed three runs on five hits in seven innings to pick up his second victory in three starts.

Howie Kendrick smacked a two-run homer for the Angels.
