ATLANTA, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Tim Hudson yielded only one run in six innings and Rick Ankiel collected two RBI Monday in the Atlanta Braves' 4-1 win over the New York Mets.
Hudson (12-5) handcuffed the Mets on six hits over six innings, walking three and striking out three to post his third straight win and lead the Braves to a victory in the first of three games with the Mets.
Jonny Venters, Takashi Saito and Billy Wagner finished up with one scoreless frame apiece, with Wagner notching his 25th save.
Ankiel, making his first appearance at Turner Field since being acquired from Kansas City, stroked a two-run single in the first inning and Chipper Jones added a solo homer for the victors.
Mets starter Johan Santana (8-6) gave up four runs on nine hits in seven innings.
