MLB: Kansas City 4, Baltimore 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 31 (UPI) -- Billy Butler slammed a two-run homer in the eighth inning Saturday, giving the Kansas City Royals a 4-3 comeback victory over Baltimore.

With the Royals trailing by a run entering the eighth, Jason Kendall got a one-out single off David Hernandez (5-8) and Butler followed with a blast deep into the left field seats.

Mitch Meier hit a solo homer and drove in two runs for Kansas City.

Zack Greinke (7-10) recovered from a poor outing in his last start against the Twins to collect the victory, holding the O's to three runs on seven hits and three walks over eight innings. He struck out six.

Nick Markakis drove in a pair of runs and Adam Jones added two hits and an RBI for Baltimore.
