LOS ANGELES, July 29 (UPI) -- Defending champion Sam Querrey dominated the third set Wednesday in advancing to the quarterfinals of the Farmers Classic tennis tournament in Los Angeles.

Querrey, the No. 2 seed, was a 7-6 (10-8), 4-6, 6-0 winner over Kevin Anderson. The match was very even -- Anderson won one more point than Querrey over the first two sets -- until the third set when Querrey won two-thirds of the points and Anderson managed to win just five points on serve.
