SEATTLE, July 25 (UPI) -- Michael Saunders delivered a two-run single to cap an eighth-inning comeback and lift the Seattle Mariners to a 4-2 win over Boston.
Trailing 2-1 entering the frame, the Mariners collected six straight hits to turn things around and even their four-game series with the Red Sox at two games apiece.
The comeback made a winner of Brandon League (8-6), who entered in the top of the eighth and recorded the final out of the frame. David Aardsma pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up his 18th save.
Kevin Youkilis and Adrian Beltre each knocked in a run for the Red Sox, who lost for the fourth time in six games.
