TORONTO, July 24 (UPI) -- Milton Rodriguez's first Major League Soccer goal at the 77-minute mark Saturday gave FC Dallas a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC.
The tie enabled FC Dallas (6-2-8) to extend its unbeaten streak to seven games.
Rodriguez headed a shot past TFC goalie Stefan Frei from 6 yards out off a corner kick by David Ferreira, who notched his fifth assist. Rodriguez hurdled two defenders to drive the ball past a helpless Frei.
Frei preserved the tie with 3 minutes left in regulation when he dove to make a one-handed save on a deflected shot from Dallas' Atiba Harris.
Toronto (6-5-5) had taken a 1-0 lead in the 61st minute when Maicon Santos collected a perfect through ball from Julian de Guzman and beat Dallas goalie Kevin Hartman at the near post.
