Kyle Busch dominates Kroger 200

INDIANAPOLIS, July 24 (UPI) -- Kyle Busch dominated most of the way and held off a late Carl Edwards challenge Saturday to win the Kroger 200 Nationwide Series event in Indianapolis.

The race went into a two-lap overtime finish after an incident involving Joe Nemechek in the closing laps at O'Reilly Raceway Park. It was then that Edwards tried to pass Busch several times, but Busch ended up finishing first by 0.2 seconds.

Busch, who led for 142 of 201 laps, collected his eighth victory of the season and 38th of his Nationwide career while winning at ORP for the third time. The victory tied him with Morgan Shepherd for most Nationwide Series wins at O'Reilly.

Aric Almirola came in third in his first foray in the No. 88 car for JR Motorsports. Pole sitter Trevor Bayne came in fourth and Reed Sorenson ended fifth.

Points leader Brad Keselowski ended in seventh and now claims a 205-point advantage over Edwards.
