BEREA, Ohio, July 23 (UPI) -- Quarterback Colt McCoy, a third-round pick in the NFL draft, has agreed to contract terms with the Cleveland Browns.

The deal with McCoy, 23, is reportedly worth about $5 million over four years with a signing bonus of $751,000, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer newspaper reported.

McCoy last December won the Camp Award and Maxwell Award, given to the nation's top collegiate player and the Davy Obrien Award, which is given to the top college quarterback.

He set an NCAA record with 45 victories while playing for the Texas Longhorns. In 53 career starts at Texas, McCoy passed for 13,253 yards with 112 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,571 yards and 20 scores.

McCoy joins a Browns roster that includes quarterback Jake Delhomme, Brett Ratliff and Seneca Wallace.

The Browns also said Friday they'd signed offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao to a multi-year deal. Lauvao was taken seven picks after McCoy was drafted.
