MLB: Kansas City 5, Toronto 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 21 (UPI) -- Zack Greinke tossed eight solid innings and Jose Guillen drove in a pair of runs Wednesday to lift the Kansas City Royals to a 5-2 win over Toronto.

Greinke (6-9) bounced back from his first lost in more than a month in his previous start against Oakland, striking out nine Blue Jays while yielding just two runs on six hits.

Joakim Soria notched his American League-leading 26th save with a scoreless ninth inning, giving Kansas City the rubber match of a three-game series at Kauffman Stadium.

Guillen's sacrifice fly in the third put the Royals ahead to stay at 2-1 and he added an RBI double during a three-run Kansas City outburst in the fifth.

Marc Rzepczynski (0-1) took his loss in his second start of the year for the Blue Jays, surrendering five runs on six hits over 4 2/3 innings.
