Vinokourov takes Stage 13; Schleck leads

REVEL, France, July 17 (UPI) -- Alexandre Vinokourov notched an impressive victory Saturday in Stage 13 of the 2010 Tour de France, pulling away from the pack en route to Revel, France.

Vinokourov, who was banned for blood doping for a year in 2007, logged a time of 4:26:26 in the 122-mile stage from Rodez to Revel, 13 seconds ahead of a large group that included his Astana teammate Alberto Contador.

Contador, the defending Tour de France champion, remained 31 seconds behind overall leader Andy Schleck for the yellow jersey after Saturday's leg.

Schleck finished in the stage in the pack behind Vinokourov.
