PHILADELPHIA, July 7 (UPI) -- Brian McCann drilled a bases-clearing double Wednesday, part of a six-run rally that lifted the Atlanta Braves to a 7-5 win over Philadelphia.
Trailing 3-1 in the sixth inning, the Braves exploded for six runs to take control. Martin Prado's solo blast brought Atlanta to within a run and, after Omar Infante, Chipper Jones and Troy Glaus all reached base, McCann drilled a pitch off the left-center field wall to score all three.
Matt Diaz capped the rally off Philadelphia starter Jamie Moyer (9-8) with a two-run homer, handing the Braves the rubber match of a three-game set against the Phillies.
The big inning made a winner of Kris Medlen (6-1), who got the victory despite allowing four runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 frames.
Billy Wagner notched his 19th save with a 1-2-3 ninth for Atlanta.
Ryan Howard and Shane Victorino homered for the Phillies, who lost for the sixth time in eight games.
