Choi joins women's golf Top 10

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 5 (UPI) -- Choi Na-yeon, who won the latest LPGA tournament in a sudden-death playoff, moved into the Top 10 of the women's world golf rankings.

Choi defeated Kim In-kyung, Kim Song-hee and Christina Kim in the second hole of Sunday's playoff in winning the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic in Sylvania, Ohio. That pushed her from 11th in last week's rankings to eighth as of Monday.

Kim Song-hee's finish allowed her to improve from eighth to seventh on the list.

The top six spots in the world women's golf rankings remained unchanged from last week with Cristie Kerr No. 1, Ai Miyazato second and Jiyai Shin in third. Suzann Pettersen is fourth with Yani Tseng fifth and Anna Nordqvist sixth.

After Kim Song-hee and Choi come Karrie Webb, who dropped two spots from seventh to ninth and Michelle Wie, who was ninth and is now 10th. Angela Stanford slipped out of the Top 10 to 11th.
