MLB: Washington 2, New York Mets 1

WASHINGTON, July 1 (UPI) -- Ryan Zimmerman's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth Thursday drove in the winning run in the Washington Nationals' 2-1 victory over the New York Mets.

Zimmerman drove the ball off Ryota Igarashi deep enough to right field for Willie Harris to be able to race home from third ahead of right fielder Jeff Francoeur's off-line throw.
