MLB: Boston 13, Colorado 11 (10 innings)

DENVER, June 25 (UPI) -- Dustin Pedroia's two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning Thursday handed the Boston Red Sox a 13-11 victory over Colorado.

Pedroia finished with three homers, five hits and five RBI for the Red Sox, who avoided a three-game inter-league sweep. Boston had lost two straight following a six-game winning streak.

Brad Hawpe sent the game into extra innings with a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning off Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon (3-4), who picked up the win despite giving up two runs in two innings of relief.

Huston Street (0-1) took the loss after giving up the game-winning home run to Pedroia.
