TORONTO, June 20 (UPI) -- Freddy Sanchez hit a three-run homer to spark a sixth-inning rally Sunday and the San Francisco Giants came back to down Toronto 9-6 in an inter-league game.
Trailing 3-2, Edgar Renteria walked and Aaron Rowand doubled off Toronto reliever Brian Tallet (1-3) to begin the frame for the Giants. One out later Angel Torres delivered an RBI single to tie the contest.
Sanchez then followed with a home run that struck the left field foul pole.
After Casey Janssen came in to relieve, Juan Uribe drove in Aubrey Huff with a double, completing the rally and enabling the Giants to salvage one contest of a three-game series at Rogers Center.
Huff and Pat Burrell also homered in San Francisco's win. Denny Bautista (1-0) collected the win in relief of starter Jonathan Sanchez, hurling 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Toronto starter Shawn Marcum got a no-decision after allowing only one earned run in five innings.
John McDonald socked a two-run homer for the Blue Jays in the loss.
