MINNEAPOLIS, June 15 (UPI) -- Jason Kubel and Matt Tolbert homered to lead a 14-hit Twins attack Tuesday in Minnesota's 9-3 rout of Colorado.

The Twins erased a 2-0 deficit with a five-run fourth-inning rally. They hit five singles and Michael Cuddyer added an RBI double in the uprising, giving Minnesota the lead for good in the first contest of a three-game inter-league series at Target Field.

Nick Punto and Denard Span each had two hits and a pair of RBI and Delmon Young was 3-for-4 with a run driven in for the victors.

Carl Pavano (7-6) gave Minnesota seven strong innings, surrendering three runs on five hits over seven innings, walking only one and fanning five to get the win.

Aaron Cook (2-4) was touched for five runs on nine hits in 3 1/3 innings.

Todd Helton and Troy Tulowitzki each smacked solo homers in the Rockies' first-ever visit to the new Twins ball park.
