SANDY, Utah, June 10 (UPI) -- Javier Morales scored in the 80th minute Wednesday, lifting Real Salt Lake to a 1-0 decision over Los Angeles.

It was the Galaxy's first loss of the season and the decision ran Salt Lake's unbeaten stretch to seven games. The opening half was delayed for 35 minutes due to lightning.

Salt Lake, which has not lost in 16 consecutive home games, improved to 7-3-2. Los Angeles, which dropped to 10-1-2, has allowed only four goals all season.
