OAKLAND, Calif., June 9 (UPI) -- Kurt Suzuki socked a three-run homer and the Oakland Athletics collected 18 hits Tuesday to rout the Los Angeles Angels 10-1.
Ryan Sweeney went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and Jack Cust connected for a two-run homer for the Athletics, who posted their second win in three games.

Gabe Gross and Mark Ellis also knocked in runs and Eric Patterson went 3-for-5 with an RBI for the victors.
Vin Mazzaro (2-0) came away with the win, allowing one run on five hits over five innings of work.
Los Angeles, which had its six-game winning streak snapped, got its only RBI from Kevin Frandsen. Angels starter Jered Weaver (5-3) was lit up for six runs on 12 hits.
