MLB: Minnesota 4, Oakland 3

OAKLAND, Calif., June 6 (UPI) -- Matt Tolbert's ninth-inning single drove in J.J. Hardy with the go-ahead run Saturday, giving the Minnesota Twins a 4-3 decision over Oakland.

The Twins were leading 3-1 in the eighth when reliever Jesse Crain allowed the A's a two-run rally to tie the contest. Minnesota came right back with a run in the next half-inning to retake the lead.

Brad Ziegler (2-3) intentionally walked pinch-hitter Justin Morneau with one out, and Hardy came in to run for Morneau. Ziegler then issued an unintentional walk to Nick Punto, and Denard Span's groundout moved Hardy to third. Tolbert followed with a shot up the middle, easily driving in the run.

Jon Rauch notched his 15th save of the season with a scoreless ninth.

Rookie Alex Burnett (1-0) was credited with his first major league win after getting the final out of the eighth inning.

Delmon Young drove in three runs for Minnesota.

Adam Rosales was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI for Oakland.
