Ortiz, Glaus nab Player of Month honors

NEW YORK, June 2 (UPI) -- David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox and Atlanta's Troy Glaus Wednesday were named the American League and National League Players of the Month.

Ortiz broke out of an April slump during which many were questioning the 34-year-old slugger's future with a big May, erupting for a .363 average and 10 home runs in 23 games for the Red Sox.
