DETROIT, June 1 (UPI) -- Jake Westbrook limited Detroit to one run over seven-plus innings Tuesday, pacing the Cleveland Indians to a 3-2 victory.
Westbrook (3-3) rebounded from two straight poor starts, baffling the Tigers on five hits and one walk over 7 2/3 innings. He allowed only a second-inning RBI single to Detroit's Carlos Guillen.

Kerry Wood survived a scary ninth inning to notch his third save, allowing one run but inducing Ramon Santiago to fly out with the tying run on third base to end the game.
Shin-Soo Choo and Russell Branyan knocked solo homers in the Tribe's win.
Jeremy Bonderman (2-3) absorbed the loss for the Tigers, yielding three runs on nine hits over eight innings.
Detroit recorded its eighth setback in 10 games.
