MLB: Florida 13, Milwaukee 5

MIAMI, May 31 (UPI) -- Cameron Maybin's inside-the-park homer capped a seven-run rally Monday that swept the Florida Marlins to a 13-5 win over Milwaukee.

Trailing 4-0 entering the sixth inning, the Marlins exploded for six hits and were issued a pair of walks to surge ahead and take control of the game.

Dan Uggla socked a three-run homer off Brewers starter Chris Narveson (4-3) to put Florida ahead 5-4 and, after Mike Lamb collected a run-scoring single, Maybin lined a pitch from Carlos Villanueva into left center field, where it eluded Milwaukee's Carlos Gomez and rolled to the wall.

Maybin circled the bases and scored standing up, helping Florida to its second straight victory after suffering four consecutive losses.

Jorge Sosa (1-0) notched the win after getting two outs in the sixth. Florida starter Nate Robertson went 5 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits.

Corey Hart socked a two-run dinger in the Milwaukee loss.
