MLB: San Fran. 6, Arizona 5 (10 innings)

SAN FRANCISCO, May 30 (UPI) -- Angel Torres stroked a game-winning single in the bottom of the 10th Sunday, lifting the San Francisco Giants to a 6-5 win over Arizona.

Carlos Rosa (0-1) retired the first two Giants batters in the 10th, but Juan Uribe and Eli Whiteside each singled and Torres made it three straight hits when he reached out and poked a 1-1 change-up to right, plating Uribe with the winning run.

Freddy Sanchez got an RBI single and Pablo Sandoval drove in a run with a fielder's choice in the bottom of the ninth to pull the Giants even and force an extra frame.

Brian Wilson (1-0) got the victory after pitching a scoreless top of the 10th.

Chris Snyder socked a two-run homer and Kelly Johnson went 4-for-4 for the Diamondbacks.
