BKB (W):Seattle 81, Los Angeles 67

SEATTLE, May 17 (UPI) -- The Seattle Storm doused the Los Angeles Sparks 81-67 in women's basketball Sunday led by Lauren Jackson's 23 points and 10 rebounds.

It was the season opener for the Storm and the second loss of the season for the Sparks.

Jackson sank 10 of her 11 free throw shots for Seattle while Tanisha Wright and Swin Cash each posted 17 points with Sue Bird adding 14.

For the Sparks Tina Thompson led with 19 points and eight rebounds, followed by Noelle Quinn with 14, DeLisha Milton-Jones with 13 and Candace Parker with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
