CLEVELAND, May 9 (UPI) -- Mark Grudzielanek got three hits and drove in the go-ahead run Sunday, pacing the Cleveland Indians to a 7-4 victory over Detroit.
Grudzielanek's fifth-inning single plated Austin Kearns to give the Indians the lead for good at 5-4 and his RBI hit in the next inning boosted Cleveland's advantage to 6-4, helping the Tribe to break a five-game losing streak.
Andy Marte drove in three runs and Shin-Soo Choo added a pair of hits and an RBI in Cleveland's victory.
Mitch Talbott (4-2) got the win despite allowing four runs on six hits over five innings. Chris Perez nailed down the win with his fifth save by pitching a scoreless ninth.
Magglio Ordonez stroked a pair of doubles and drove in two runs for the Tigers in the loss.
