MLB: Cincinnati 5, Chicago Cubs 3

CINCINNATI, May 9 (UPI) -- Joey Votto's three-run homer Sunday sparked the Cincinnati Reds to their ninth win in 13 games, 5-3 over the Chicago Cubs.

Votto's blast in the bottom of the seventh erased a 3-2 Cubs lead and made a winner of rookie right-hander Mike Leake (3-0), who allowed only three runs on four hits over seven innings to pick up the victory.
