TAMPA BAY, Fla., May 2 (UPI) -- Wade Davis and three relievers combined on a three-hit shutout Sunday, lifting the Tampa Bay Rays to a 1-0 victory over Kansas City.
Evan Longoria provided the game's only run with a solo homer in the fourth inning for the Rays, who gained a split of a four-game weekend series with the Royals.
Davis (3-1) gave up only three hits in six innings, striking out five and issuing three walks. Rafael Soriano tossed a scoreless ninth for his sixth save of the year.
Kansas City starter Zach Greinke (0-3) tossed his 10th career complete game, giving up four hits without walking a batter.
