MIAMI, April 26 (UPI) -- Josh Johnson tossed a three-hit complete game, had three hits and drove in three runs Monday as the Florida Marlins pounded San Diego 10-1.
Johnson (2-1) held San Diego to one run on three hits, fanning 12 and allowing only one walk. At the plate he had an RBI single in the second and drove in a pair of runs with a single in the third to make the score 7-0.
Dan Uggla homered and drove in three runs, Hanley Ramirez added a solo shot and Gaby Sanchez chipped in with a pair of RBI, as Florida won its third straight game.
Padres starter Mat Latos (1-2) was lit up for seven runs on seven hits over just 2 2/3 innings.
Matt Stairs drove in the only San Diego run with sacrifice fly in the eighth, ruining Johnson's shutout bid.
