Bohn wins Zurich Classic of New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, April 25 (UPI) -- Jason Bohn claimed the title of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans Sunday, firing a five-under 67 to lead the event from start to finish.

Bohn finished the New Orleans event at 18-under 270, two strokes better than Jeff Overton at the TPC Louisiana course.

Bohn, who took his second career PGA title one day after his 37th birthday, finished the round by gaining birdies on three of the last four holes.

"I'm probably the only guy on the PGA Tour who has got tears when he's putting out on 18," Bohn said. "Unbelievable."

Holding a two-stroke lead on the final hole, he knocked his nine-iron second shot from 147 yards out to about an inch from the hole, then tapped in the short birdie putt to secure the win.

Overton shot a six-under 66 Sunday to finish second, while Troy Merritt carded a five-under 67 to finish third at 14-under 274. Lee Janzen, meanwhile, fired a three-under 69 to come in fourth at minus-13.
