MLS: New York 2, Philadelphia 1

HARRISON, N.J., April 24 (UPI) -- Juan Pablo Angel's score on a penalty kick in the 67th minute Saturday lifted Red Bull New York to a 2-1 victory over Philadelphia.

Angel scored after a handball call in the box on Philadelphia's Michael Orozco -- his second game-winner on a penalty kick in two weeks for New York.

The goal allowed New York to stay unbeaten, raising its record to 4-0-1 and giving the Red Bulls three wins in three games in their new stadium in Harrison, N.J.

Salou Ibrahim notched the other goal for New York, which won only five games all of last season when it sported the worst record in the MLS.

The Union fell to 1-0-3, taking their third loss in four games. Sebastien Le Toux notched the sole goal for Philadelphia.
